Cultural Insight: Children’s Day
In Japan, May 5th is Kodomo no Hi (Children’s Day). Families display Kintaro dolls to wish for their children to grow up strong and kind.
Notice the character “金” (Kin) on his red bib—it means “Gold” and is the first character of his name.
