What is “White Day” in Japan?
In Japan, March 14th is known as White Day. It is the day when people who received gifts on Valentine’s Day (February 14th) give gifts in return!
Common gifts include white chocolate, marshmallows, cookies, and candies. It’s a beautiful tradition centered around the spirit of Okaeshi (giving a gift in return).
