Learn Japanese while Coloring: What is “Katakana”?
Look at the top of the coloring page. Next to the English word “Canada,” you will see some Japanese characters: カナダ.
This is written in Katakana (カタカナ), one of the three scripts used in the Japanese language. Katakana is primarily used to write foreign words, including names of other countries.
